The grace of Jihad from the Quran and the Sunnah of our prophet (PBUH).

The Holy Quran is full of Ayaat [Verses] spurring on Jihad and showing its grace and importance. "… And fight the unbelievers all together even as they fight you all together, and know that Allah is with those who are pious" [ Surah – 9 – 36).

Allah also says in his book:-

"Fighting has been ordained for you , and you are averse to it , but you may be averse to a thing it is good for you and you may like a thing while it is bad for you , but Allah knows while you do not know ."

And he says:-

" March forth , in any way you can and strive , you` utmost in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives , that is better for you , if you only knew " ( Surah 9 – 41).

And He says:-

"Indeed : Allah has bought from the believers their lives and their wealth , that they will have the Grades , they fight in Allah's cause , kill and are killed , this is a true pledge from  Allah  made in the Torah [ the scripture given to Moses), the Injeel ( the scripture given to Jesus) and in the Quran , and who is more true is fulfilling his Covenant than Allah So rejoice in the bargain you have made with Allah ,this is the greatest success."(Surah 9–111).

He also says:-

"Those people from among the believers who stay at home with -  out any genuine excuse , are not equal in rank with those who exert their utmost with their lives and wealth in Allah's cause. For Allah has assigned a higher rank to those who exert their utmost with their lives and wealth than to those who stay at home .Although Allah has promised a rich reward for all . He has a far richer reward for those who fight in his cause than for those who stay at home "(Surah 4 – 95).

Allah also says:-

"O you who believe : Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a painful punishment .That you believe in Allah and His Messenger¸ and strive in the cause of Allah with your health and your souls .That is better if you Know .He will forgive you your sins and admit you to Gardens  beneath which rivers flow¸ and to dwelling places of beauty in Gardens of Eternity, That is the supreme achievement .

And yet another blessing that you love, a victory From Allah and a conquest close at hand .And give glad tidings to the believers."(Surah 61 V: 9 – 13) The Books of sunnah recorded a lot of the Prophets talks Spurring on Jihad and showing its grace and rank. It was narrated by Abi Horraira that the Prophet said, when he was asked about the best deeds, that "To believe in Allah and His Messenger."

He was asked "What else?" he said "Jihad for the sake of Allah." He was asked " Then what?" He said ".Pilgrimage which is accepted". (Motafak  Aliah)

It was also narrated by Anas that the Prophet (PBUH) said "To go and come back for the sake of Allah is much better than the life and the blessings it has" (Motatak Aliah).

Said "The best of men is the person who rides his horse for the sake of Allah¸ ready to killer be killed .ready whenever he hears the sounds of striking by swords .And a man who leaves every thing and goes to a remote part of the desert and among mountains to worship Allah and pay Zakat and worship Allah till his death."- (Narrated by Muslim)

It was narrated by Abi Horraira that the Prophet (PBUH) said "There are one hundred ranks in the Paradise which Allah has   prepared to Mujahedeen (strikers for His sake) between the first rank and the second one is like the distance between the sky and the earth ". (Narrated by Al – Bukhari).

It  was narrated by Anas that the Prophet said " No one enters the Paradise and wishes to come back to the earth where he does not have anything except the martyrs¸ He wishes he had come back to the earth to he killed again and again because of the rank Allah prepared for them ." and in another narration " because of the grace of shahada (striking and being killed for the sake of Allah .".               (Motafak Alaih)

It was narrated by sahel bin Honaif that the prophet said "He Who asked Allah to let him be killed for His sake and get Shahabad truthfully, Allah him the rank of Mujahdeen even if he dies in his bed "(Narrated by Moslem).

It was narrated by Abi said Al. Khodary that the Prophet said "A believer who strives for the sake of Allah with his soul and wealth is better than other people " when he was asked about the best person then the prophet " (PBUH) said " Then a believer who moves to a remote hut worshipping Allah without harming people".   (Motafak Aliah)

It was narrated by Salman that the Prophet (PBUH) said" Striving for the sake of Allah for a day and a night is better than fasting and praying all nights of a whole month . If the person who strives for the sake of Allah dies he will be rewarded by Allah ".

Abu Horraira narrated that a man of the company of the Prophet (PBUH) came to a place which has a geyser of pure water in the desert .He liked it and said "I wish I could stay here to worship Allah, but I won't do but one asked the prophet (PBUH) , he said "Do not do it . Striving for the sake of Allah is better than praying at home for seventy years .Do you not like that Allah may forgive you and let you in his Gardens Invade for His sake as you will have no reward but the paradise if you are killed". It was narrated by Al Teridhi.
